Commercial security screens and blinds on the Gold Coast

We supply and install security doors, window screens, fly screens and blinds for small commercial sites on the northern Gold Coast: offices, shops, clinics, childcare centres, schools and strata buildings. The same tested products and our own installers, with a site visit and a written quote for each job.

Who we work with.

Most of our commercial work is small to medium sites where the owner, practice manager or strata manager wants one local team to measure, fit and maintain. We do not take on large tendered projects.

Measure and scope

One visit to see every opening.

We walk the site with you, measure every door and window in scope and note anything that affects the work: exit doors, alarm sensors, access hours and parking for the van. For strata sites we also check the by-laws and any approved styles.

Written quote

A quote you can put to the committee.

The written quote lists each opening, the product, the finish and the price, with product details and colour information you can pass to a landlord, owner or body corporate committee. Most quotes are sent within two business days of the visit.

Fitting

Fitted by our own installers.

Our own team fits every product, usually in one or two visits, scheduled before opening, after close or on a quiet day where the site needs it. We clean up, show staff how the locks and blinds work and hand over keys and the warranty schedule.

After the install

One number for repairs.

Once a site is fitted, the same team handles repairs and servicing. Sites close to the water benefit from a yearly service: tracks cleaned, rollers and closers adjusted, locks lubricated and mesh checked.

Built to Australian Standards.

Commercial sites use the same tested security products as homes, with one extra check: doors on an exit path must still let people out.

How the standards work

AS 5039

How the product is made

The standard for security screen doors and window grilles. It sets what the mesh, frame, locks and hinges must be made from and how they must perform.

AS 5040

How the product is fitted

The standard for installing them. It covers the frame, the fixings and the gaps, so a strong door is never let down by a weak fit.

NCC

Exit doors still open

Where a door is part of a required exit, the NCC requires it to open from the inside without a key. We fit hardware that keeps the exit working and check with you before we quote.

Warranty

The same warranty as our homes.

Commercial installs carry the same written warranty schedule as our residential work, handed over with the keys on the day we finish.

The warranty covers faults in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage from impact, forced entry, storms or harsh cleaning products. Busy doors benefit from a yearly service.

Price

What affects the price.

Commercial work is quoted per site after a visit, because no two buildings are the same. Products are priced on the same basis as our residential range. Four things move a commercial quote most.

01

Number of openings

Larger sites bring the cost per opening down.

02

Products and infill

Stainless mesh and motorised blinds cost more than the alternatives.

03

Access and hours

After-hours work, height access and restricted sites add time.

04

Exit hardware

Exit doors may need specific locks and handles.

Not sure if your site suits us? Tell us what it is and roughly how many doors and windows, and we will tell you straight.

See all questions

What size of commercial jobs do you take on?

Small to medium sites: offices, shops, clinics, childcare centres and strata complexes, usually up to a few dozen openings. We do not tender for large construction projects.

Can you work outside trading hours?

Yes, where the site needs it. We can fit before opening, after close or on a quieter day. Tell us at the site visit and we will build it into the quote.

Can a security door go on an exit door?

Yes, with the right hardware. Where a door is part of a required exit, it must open from inside without a key. We fit locks and handles that allow that and check the exit layout with you before we quote.

Do you supply paperwork for approvals?

Yes. The written quote lists each opening, product and colour, and we can add product details for a landlord, owner or body corporate committee.

Are your installers employees?

Yes. Our own team measures and fits every job. We hold $20 million public liability insurance and a QBCC licence, and can supply certificates for site inductions.

Do you service screens and blinds you did not install?

Yes, as long as parts are available. We repair rollers, locks, closers, mesh and blinds across a site, and can set up a yearly service for busy doors.

One team for the whole site.

Book a site visit and we will measure every opening in scope, check the exits and approvals, then send an itemised written quote within two business days.
