How to make a claim
Most claims are sorted with one visit. The sooner you tell us, the easier a small problem is to fix.
1
Take a photo
Photograph the problem and, if you can, the invoice or the label on the frame.
2
Get in touch
Email secureblinds@vectorr.com.au or call 07 5550 4280, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Tell us your address and roughly when we installed.
3
We assess it
We reply within one business day and, if needed, book a time to inspect. Many issues, like a lock that needs adjusting, are fixed on that first visit.
4
Repair or replace
If the fault is covered, we repair or replace the part at no cost. If it is not, we explain why and give you a written quote before any work starts.
We cover the cost of inspecting and repairing a valid claim at your home. If a claim is not covered, we will tell you before any chargeable work begins.
Looking after your screens
A little care keeps screens and blinds working smoothly and protects your warranty, especially within a few kilometres of the coast.
Rinse mesh and frames with fresh water and a soft brush every four to six weeks near the coast, and every two to three months inland.
Use mild soapy water only. Avoid solvents, abrasive pads and pressure washers.
Vacuum sliding door tracks and wipe them clean so the rollers run freely.
Keep locks working with a dry lubricant, not oil, which attracts dust and sand.
Retract outdoor blinds in strong winds and storms.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
The law requires this statement to appear with any warranty against defects:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our warranty is given in addition to these rights and does not replace or limit them. Services also come with consumer guarantees, so our installation work must be carried out with due care and skill. For more about your rights, visit the ACCC or the Queensland Office of Fair Trading.
